Abstract
the specific geographical location of Iran is one of the strengths of Iran in gardening. drought and lack of precipitation, severe evapotranspiration and environmental stresses (hail, cold, sun, wind and storm, etc.) have threatened the country 's macro - capacity in this area. one of the ways to reduce such harmful effects is protection by the application of canopy cover. the use of these structures can be effective in preventing the damages caused by environmental stresses and consequently yield loss and product quality. it is important to note that the canopy structure can create greenhouse - like conditions under the canopy due to changes in the quantity and quality of light, control of air movement in the canopy and increasing relative humidity. therefore, any climatic parameters along with the changes in other climatic parameters can have an increased or weakened effect under the canopy. the present study investigated the effect of relative humidity (as an effective factor) on the side of temperature in a canopy in takestan research station. the results showed that the average temperature in the canopy was decreased due to the increase in the relative humidity in the control environment, the average thermal index under the canopy was 3 % more than the outside environment.
