Abstract

Maintaining soil fertility and enhancing it through optimal use of organic and chemical fertilizers is of particular importance in maintaining and increasing soil fertility in grapeGardens. Therefore, it is necessary to know the chemical and physical characteristics of garden soil, which were investigated in this study. The results of soil testing of 58 vineyard plots in the Takestan region showed that the regions have medium and low levels of organic carbon and total nitrogen, and that only 18% of the vineyards have adequate phosphorus levels. No potassium deficiency was observed in the soils under grape cultivation. Electrical conductivity (soil salinity) of all the studied orchards had a salinity of less than 2 ds/m and were alkaline in terms of acidity. The lime content was mainly between 15 and 20%, which indicates an average lime content. Based on general recommendations for vineyards with nitrogen deficiency were used: 250 to 450 grams per plant and 130 grams of triple superphosphate per plant are recommended.
